No Rest Time For Us Mommies*

So, this is my first blog so please bare with me.

Bojan: "I am not cleaning anymore. It is your Job!"

allison: "ahhhh what!?"

So as a new mother and a new wife all within monthes period of time there is aLOT to learn. Not just of the new baby that God has put in our lives but of each other as well. If you dont know myself and my husband Bojan, then I dont even know where to start! LOL

A little History to catch you up...

We met in Europe in August of 2008 through my friend and his cousin Gina. It was love at first sight. Or was it lust! haha. I returned to US few weeks later and my heart was in so much pain. I had to return to be with him. So I did. I sold everything I owned, packed my bags and flew to Croatia. IT was AMAZING! Never have I done something like this in my life. I knew I alawys wanted to go to Europe and I wanted to marry a European guy. But never in my dreams did i think it would really happen, especially at my age of 21 at the time. He showed me things I have never seen or even knew existed before! Europe was beautiful!

So couple weeks later, yeah i said weeks, I became pregnant with our precious baby Kameron! The most beautfiul human being I have ever seen. So now we are here living in the United States. Our new little family.

So I have pretty much been independent women my whole life. So now to have to think of not just myself but my baby girl and my husband when I do anything is so hard!! I mean i pretty much feel I have to ask and let them know when I have to pee. So that has been a battle for me.

Next when I come home from work I am so tired and want to relax. But no more. Have to make dinner not just for me but my husband and my baby. I am not complaining! Do not get me wrong. I love them both more than anyone will ever know. But from being a crazy 21 year old to a mom and wife all within one year has its challenges.

One night I was sitting relaxing and playing with my beautiful girl and my husband turned to me and said, " I am not cleaning all the time anymore. It is not my job. It is your job" .....WTF..... Pardon my language. He said what???? Oh hell naw! lol. That was a huge challenge for us. Where his culture was for women to be in the kitchen, raise the kids and clean the house all day. Then here in the U.S, us women have all these amazing oppurtunities right in front of us. No longer are we just mommy and house cleaner, but we are presidents, business owners, and bosses! So I just had to explain that to him. And it is still a challenge for us daily. But he is learning more and more about my culture and I am learning his as well.

Just another speed bump but we got through it!

Thank you so much for reading. I really want this blog to be for us new mothers and new wifes to have a time to vent and ask each other questions and advice.
